Gymnasts should wear leotards or shorts and a t-shirt. No socks or jewelry. Gymnasts with long hair should tie it back. We kindly ask that all parents remain in the lobby or entry hallway to the gym and do not come into the gymnastics area. This helps to create a safe environment for your children and families. Jungle Gym:

Ages 18 months through 6 years


KOALAS

Ages 18 months - 2 years 

30 min, Gymnast to coach ratio 8:1

Parent and child class, children are guided through creative movement, songs, self-discovery and social interaction.  One adult 18+ must attend with each child, no additional siblings are allowed in class. 


MONKEYS

Ages 3-4 Years 45 min,

Gymnast to coach ratio 5:1 Monkeys are ready to swing through class on their own! Motor skills, social skills, self-awareness and self-confidence are developed, while learning basic gymnastics skills in this fun environment.  


BOYS ONLY

Ages 4-6 Years 45 min,

Gymnast to coach ratio 5:1 Similar to the Monkeys and Tigers class, but the class will introduce to boys events with use of parallel bars, rings and mushroom (training for pommel horse). 


MONKEYS 4+

Ages 4 and over 45 min,

Gymnast to coach ratio 5:1 For Monkeys that are over four years old and have completed at least one Monkeys class. They will continue to work on learning basic gymnastics skills and movements. 


TIGERS

Ages 5-6 Years 45 min,

Gymnast to coach ratio 5:1 In this fun and positive environment, Tigers will learn basic tumbling, bars and balance beam skills while continuing to focus on positive social interaction and building self-confidence.



Recreational Classes:

Ages 6 years and up or for students who have mastered skills associated with the following levels


BEGINNER 1

*Beginner 1 classes are split into classes for ages 7+ and classes for ages 9+.  Refer to the schedule for options for each.

Beginning level instruction of basic skills for tumbling, vaulting, uneven bars, and balance beam. No previous experience required. Gymnasts graduating from Tigers should register for this class. 55 min, Gymnast to coach ratio 6:1


BEGINNER 2

Beginner 2 class is designed for gymnasts who have had beginning level gymnastics instruction and have passed the Beginner 1 level. 

75 min, Gymnast to coach ratio: 6:1


beginner 3

beginner 3 class is designed for gymnasts who have passed beginner 2 or can perform the beginner 2 skill set.

75 min, Gymnast to coach ratio: 6:1


INTERMEDIATE 1

Intermediate 1 class is designed for gymnasts who have passed Beginner 3 or can perform the Beginner 3 skill set. 

1.5 hours, Gymnast to coach ratio: 7:1


INTERMEDIATE 2

Intermediate 2 class is for gymnasts who can perform the skills learned at the Intermediate 1 level, or have passed the Intermediate 1 class.

1.5 hours, Gymnast to Coach Ratio: 8:1 


INTERMEDIATE 3

Intermediate 3 class is for gymnasts who can perform the skills learned at the Intermediate 2 level, or have passed the Intermediate 2 class.

This class will prepare them for Pre-Team. This class is by invitation only.  2 hours, Gymnast to Coach Ratio: 8:1      


INTERMEDIATE 3 REC

For gymnasts who have completed at least 2 sessions of Intermediate 3 but are not interested in pursuing the competitive route of gymnastics (Training Team and Team), but instead would like to maintain and gain gymnastics skills on a recreational level.

2 hours, Gymnast to Coach Ratio: 8:1



Boys Specific Classes:

Boys are welcome to enroll in all other classes.  We offer the following Boys only classes.


BOYS INTERMEDIATE

For Boys ages 6-10 years who have taken a beginner class.

Boys Intermediate: Boys 6-10 years old who have mastered Beginner 2 skills or have taken at least one session of Boys Tumbling/Trampoline. Floor, Vault, Bars and introduction to men's gymnastics events. 55 min, Gymnast to Coach Ratio: 6:1


BOYS TUMBLING AND TRAMPOLINE

For Boys ages 7-10 years. 

The class focuses on basic gymnastics tumbling and trampoline skills. 55 min, Gymnast to Coach Ratio: 6:1



Other Offerings:


Dance

Dance class focusing on ballet, jazz and music & movement. 45 minutes. Ages 3- 5. Beginner ballet shoes recommended. Dancer to Coach Ratio: 6:1


Twirl and tumble

Dance and gymnastics combination class. 60 minutes. Ages 3-5. Beginner ballet shoes recommended. Dancer to Coach Ratio: 5:1 


ADAPTIVE GYMNASTICS

Our Adaptive class is for boys and girls with special needs ages 5-12.

This class will allow gymnasts to develop physically and socially through gymnastics activities and events. Gymnasts will have the opportunity to explore gymnastics equipment with the assistance of specialized coaches that will make them feel comfortable and safe while having FUN! Children will learn gymnastics skills in small increments, building one skill on another. This class is sure to engage a special needs child’s sensory functions- vision, hearing, tactile sensation, body awareness and movement. Special needs children we serve include but are not limited to those with Asperger’s, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and minor brain injuries.  60 min, Gymnast to coach ratio: 4:1



Competitive Program:


Team 3

For gymnasts who can perform the skills learned at the Intermediate 3 level, or have pass the Intermediate 3 level.  

The River Falls Gymnastics Club Team compete in the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association (MAGA).  Team 4-5 is by invitation only. 2 hours twice per week, Gymnast to Coach Ratio 8:1


TEAM 1-2

For gymnasts who have advanced from Team 4-5

The River Falls Gymnastics Club Team compete in the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association (MAGA).  Team is by invitation only. 2.5 hours twice per week, Gymnast to Coach Ratio 8:1



Evaluations:


At the end of each session, gymnasts in Tigers and above receive evaluations with a recommendation from their coach on which class to register for next.  In our program, the average gymnast participates in the following number of sessions before passing the level:

  • Beginner 1: 4 sessions
  • Beginner 2: 3 sessions
  • BEGINNER 3: TBD
  • Intermediate 1: 3 sessions
  • Intermediate 2: 6 sessions
  • Intermediate 3: 7 sessions

Advancing above Intermediate 3 is also dependent on the space available in Training Team and Team levels.
